The Mauritian Government has confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mauritius. It has implemented entry restrictions at airports and seaports. No one will be allowed into Mauritius for 15 days from 0600 GMT (10am local Mauritius time) on 19 March. This includes foreign and Mauritian nationals. All cruise ships will also be denied access to the port. From 0600 on Friday 20 March, new measures to restrict movement have come into force for the next 14 days. Only essential services like supermarkets, pharmacies, hospitals, clinics and banks will remain open. The Australian High Commission (Rogers House) is temporarily closed to the public. Staff are working remotely. The airport remains open for departing flights.
