All non-Taiwanese travellers are barred from entering Taiwan. Exemptions apply for foreigners who are permanent residents, government officials or visiting for formal business purposes. Documented proof is required; check with your nearest Taiwanese representative office for further details on requirements. If you are a permanent resident (or dual citizen) of Taiwan, you will be able to enter but will need to undertake 14 days of home quarantine. Travellers already in Taiwan who have been in or transited through Europe, Turkey, Egypt or Dubai since 5 March are also required to undertake 14 days of home quarantine. Our level of advice has not changed:  Do not travel to Taiwan.
